The East Bernard Brahmas needed another come from behind victory, this time against the Schulenberg Shorthorns as they improved their season record to 3-1 Friday on the road.

After Schulenberg scored on a Tyler Ryba 1-yard run with 4:59 left in the first quarter, East Bernard spread out its scoring over the first and second halves.

East Bernard’s Ruiz Christian responded with a 24-yard field goal with a minute left in the opening period.

Still trailing, it was in the second quarter that East Bernard would pull away for good. The lead came at the 9:15 mark when quarterback Dallas Novicke threw an 81-yard pass to Caleb Magness. Christian scored the PAT for a 10-6 lead.

The Brahmas iced the game in the fourth quarter on another scoring reception, this one for 19 yards to DJ Losack from Novicke with 10:26 left in the game.
