The Wharton Babe Ruth League prepares for the final day of make-up games after more than a week catching up.

On Friday, the White Sox beat the Mets 10-2. Kendon Mayberry struck out six batters for the White Sox. Lance Kocian struck out six in four innings for the Mets. Hayden Albert struck out two in one relief inning for the Mets. Hayden Collins had two hits for the Mets. 

The A’s and Rangers’ doubleheader on Monday was canceled due to rain early that day and was not rescheduled since Wednesday is the last day for makeup games.

The White Sox and Cardinals played a doubleheader Tuesday evening. A doubleheader between the Cardinals and Rangers on Wednesday, with games at 6 and 8 p.m., will finish regular-season play. 

The East Texas Babe Ruth state tournament for 15-year-olds will be June 28-30 in Nederland. 

For 14-year-olds, the state tournament will be June 28-30 in Brazoswood. The rosters representing Wharton for those tournaments will be released later this week.
