The Boling Bulldogs’s Deven Rodgers (5) earned all-district honors on the first team. His teammates Trent Reyes, Kevin Manning and Gage Eastep placed on the district second team respectively. BHS finished 0-5 in District 13-3A and 1-8 on the season.

District 13-3A had only one team playing after the first round of the Class 3A Division II playoffs – the Columbus Cardinals. Their run ended Friday, Dec. 13 to last season’s state champions, the Grandview Zebras.

With Columbus’ season now over, District 13’s season awards have been released.

The Boling Bulldogs year did not go as planned with no wins in district play. However, the district’s coaches saw a standout season from senior running back Deven Rogers earning the Bulldogs only first-team honor.

Rogers had a team-high 613 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground, he also threw for 52 more yards.

On offense, running back Gage Eastep and offensive lineman Trent Reyes were named to the second team. Outside linebacker Kevin Manning earned second team defensive honors.

Eastep picked up a second honor as special teams player and was named second team kick returner. Jastin Arbing was awarded the Bulldogs utility player.

Rounding out Boling’s district honors were linebackers Colby Chilek and Blaise Hubenak, and Arbing, who picked up honorable mentions.

Boling finished 1-8 overall.
