Volleyball teams who play in District 24-3A are not quite halfway through the season that is of great importance for playoff positioning. Each team is vying to be among the top four teams to qualify for the postseason.
So far, the East Bernard Brahmarettes are in a familiar place in district – atop the standings. Brazos is in second place with a 5-1 record, the lone loss coming against East Bernard in the district opener for both teams.
The Boling Lady Bulldogs are tied with Danbury at 4-2.
Boling lost to Brazos and East Bernard in sweeps.
If the Lady Bulldogs plan on being in second place when the last district games are played Oct. 23, they will need to beat Brazos when they play again in Boling on Oct. 16.
The Brahmarettes are dominating district teams as they have won in sweeps against their foes. Brazos has mirrored what EBHS has done, winning in five sweeps.
The bottom half of the district has four teams that are struggling mightily.
