Final scores for the Wharton Lady Tigers indicate that they are playing against their opponents and challenging them.

Coach Erica Garza said regardless of the outcome, the team is working every day to make improvements.

“Many improvements have been made in all areas of the game,” Garza said. “We are very excited with the improvements, but do know that there is a lot of work to be done.”  

Among the teams WHS played were Rosenberg Terry (16-25, 21-25,18-25) and Lamar Consolidated (17-25, 23-25, 17-25).

Asijah Hammonds and Ataya Watkins have led the team in kills and alongside the net, Courtney Coleman and Jerika Stedic have been delivering assists to be among the leaders on the team.

Other members of the team have earned serving aces (Chloe Villarreal), digs, aces and blocks (Marah Hoskins), some of them solo.
