Paul William Windham, Sr., 82 passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Wharton. A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, June 4 at 10 a.m. at St John’s Lutheran Church, 614 Pecan Street, inWharton. The burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Park 3511 Alabama Rd., in Wharton. Mr. Windham was born on Aug. 4, 1936 in Wharton to Mabelle and William Windham. He was a machinist with Texas Gulf Sulphur Company until its closing. He married Eleanor Mayeux on July 25, 1955 in Conroe. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed camping, fishing, and classic automobiles. His family paid this tribute to him, “Dad would do anything to help others out, whether it was fixing what they had or building a new one. He will be sorely missed.” He is preceded in death by his parents Mabelle and William Windham, and his sister Shirley Ann Brezina and husband Herold. He is survived by his wife Eleanor and two sons, Paul Windham,Jr. of Wakeman Ohio, and Mark Windham of Fritch.
