Shirley Anne Beissert Powers, 67, of Wharton, was born on July 9, 1953 in Houston to the late Arnold Theodore & Dorris LaVaughn (Gravos) Beissert. She passed away Dec 20, 2020.
Shirley proudly attended Cy-Fair High School until meeting her soulmate and later marrying Chester Lee Powers in 1971. Shirley worked hard most of her life in the food industry. She was well-known for her contagious smiles and laughter. She made friends with everyone she met. Shirley was kind and loving to all she met. She enjoyed family gatherings, visiting with friends, shopping to find the best deals, playing dominoes and spades, fishing and buying Christmas gifts all year long. No matter how much money she had, she was sure to find the most unique gifts to give. Shirley also enjoyed watching late night movies, while scrolling on Facebook. She was everyone’s biggest fan!
