Ms. Jacqueline Elaine Washington, 61, of Wharton, went to Heaven on Jan. 1, 2021. Jacqueline Washington was born to Lewis and Velma Lee Brown Washington.

Jacqueline worked at Caney Creek Nursing Home as a dietitian. 

She is survived by two loving sons: Dedric Washington and Kobie Washington; siblings: Lewis Charles Washington of Rosenberg, Andreaus Boise (Ann) of Houston, Kimberly Harris of East Bernard, Louis Washington III of Pearland, Univera Eagleton (Shea) of Rosenberg, Angela Williams of Wharton, Rebecca Williams of Houston, and Clifford Williams of Wharton; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Spanish Camp. Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, there will not be a church service. The Rev. C. Jackson will be officiating. Visitation will be at the Gooden-Hatton Funeral Home Chapel, Friday from 12-6 p.m. We at Gooden-Hatton ask that everyone wear a mask when entering the building for visitation.
