The following individuals were booked into the Wharton County Jail dating back to Aug. 13. The arrest records available are public information. Any indication of an arrest does not mean the individual identified has been convicted of a crime. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

• Misty Jensen Elliott, 44, of El Campo, was arrested on an abandon endanger child criminal negligence felony warrant charge by the Texas Office of Attorney General Criminal Investigation at 3 p.m., Aug. 13. She was released Aug. 13;

• Jakob Tyler Gentry, 18, of Wharton, was arrested on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon felony warrant charge, abandon/endangering child imminent danger bodily injury felony warrant charge by the Wharton county Sheriff’s Office at 12:50 a.m., Aug. 13. He was released Aug. 13;

• Carter Wayne Miska, 50, of Wharton, was arrested on an unlawfully carrying a weapon charge by the Wharton Police Department at 11:07 a.m., Aug. 13;

• James Martin Cerrillo, 27, of Wharton, was arrested on a criminal trespass charge by WPD at 8:49 p.m., Aug. 14. He was released Aug. 15;

• Luis Armando Lopez-Vargas, 31, of Sealy, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container charge by the WCSO at 9:02 p.m., Aug. 14. He was released Aug. 15;

• Tremain Sentel Mitchell, 40, of Hungerford, was arrested on an assault causes bodily injury family member charge, unlawful restraint charge, and resisting arrest search or transport charge by the WCSO at 12:58 p.m., Aug. 14;

• David Michael Zuber, 66, of Wharton, was arrested on a DWI 2nd charge by the WCSO at 9:34 p.m., Aug. 14. He was released Aug. 15;

• Bobby Galvan, 55, of El Campo, was arrested on an indecency with a child sexual contact felony warrant charge by the El Campo Police Department at 3:45 p.m., Aug. 14. He was released Aug. 15;

• Roy Lee Matthews III, 25, of Wharton, was arrested on an unauthorized use of a vehicle felony charge, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon felony charge by WPD at 12:54 a.m., Aug. 16. He was released Aug. 16;

• Rolando Rodriguez, 39, of Mercedes, was arrested on a criminal nonsupport Attorney General Child Support felony charge by the Texas DPS at 9:43 p.m., Aug. 16;

• Ashton Gerard Crump, 29, of Rosenberg, was arrested on an escape while arrested/confined-felony felony warrant charge, theft of property between $4100 and $750 warrant charge, aggravated robbery felony warrant charge by the WCSO at 9:20 a.m., Aug. 18.;

• Bruce Allen Yerdon, Jr., 30, of Boling, was arrested on an abandon endanger child criminal negligence felony warrant charge by WPD at 10:31 p.m., Aug. 18;

• Mae James Harris, 61, of Wharton, was arrested on an assault causes bodily injury family member charge by WPD at 12:16 a.m., Aug. 19.
