The following individuals were booked into the Wharton County Jail dating back to March 24. The arrest records available are public information. Any indication of an arrest does not mean the individual identified has been convicted of a crime. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

• Juan Gustavo Salazar-Perez was arrested on a deadly conduct misdemeanor warrant charge by the El Campo Police Department at 6:24 a.m., March 24;

• Ruben Almaraz, 45, of Wharton, was arrested on an assault family/household member with previous conviction felony warrant charge by the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office at 1:30 p.m., March 25;

• Roy Lester Jefferson, 73, of East Bernard, was arrested on a criminal trespass misdemeanor warrant charge by the WCSO at 7:26 a.m., March 25. He was released March 25;

•Joseph Keith Luera, 26, of Boling, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated 2nd misdemeanor charge by the WCSO at 2:15 a.m., March 25. He was released March 25;

• Christopher Arthu Sims, 43, of Bay City, was arrested on a forgery financial instrument felony warrant charge by the WCSO at 10:31 a.m., March 25;

• Pricilla Ann Hinojosa, 46, of La Porte, was arrested on a theft of property between $100-$750 misdemeanor warrant charge by the WCSO at 2:22 p.m., March 26;

• Lorene Everne Baylor, 49, of El Campo, was arrested on a theft of property less than $2,500 2/more previous convictions felony warrant charge by ECPD at 4:04 p.m., March 27. She was released March 28;

• Rene Hernandez, 31, of Houston, was arrested on a DWI misdemeanor charge by the WCSO at 7:45 a.m., March 28;

• Omar Ramirez, 28, of El Campo, was arrested on a DWI misdemeanor charge by ECPD at 7:37 p.m., March 27. He was released March 28;

• Calvert Spears, Jr. 33, of Wharton, was arrested on a violation of parole warrant charge by the Wharton Police Department at 11:50 p.m., March 27.
