To educate and promote health care service to the public, the El Campo Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Wharton County Health Fair in El Campo on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be numerous free health screenings, wound care presentation (1:15 to 1:45 p.m.) and a “Ask the Medicare lady” booth, among other things.

Door prizes, bingo (11 a.m.) and sopping vendors (hair bows, jewelry, pink zebra and more) available.

The following resources will be available: veterans services, hurricane/flood recovery, disease prevention, education, medical health, health habits, mobile mammogram, senior volunteer opportunities, pregnancy information, victims assistance, community safety, nutrition, senior citizen program/services, legal, nurse health line, immunization, resources, rehabilitation services, long-term recovery, public health, zoonosis control, cancer education, Medicare information, medical clinic information, home health service, hospital/healthcare needs, ambulance services, hospital care, internal medicine, wound care, infectious disease, skilled nursing facilities, nursing home information.
