ID not needed to vote

Registration deadline is Oct. 9

Posted: Wednesday, September 12, 2012 2:00 am

Wharton County residents won’t need a picture ID at November polls, but they might be asked for it when registering to vote.

Anyone can urge citizens to register for the upcoming election. However, only people authorized by the Wharton County Elections Office can gather up the cards filled with personal identifying information and deliver them to the clerk, according to a Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals stay issued Sept. 6.

How you do figure out how to vote. I recently relocated to 77488 and cannot figure it out. Can I ask at the county library. Thanks.
