Wharton County Junior College is on the agenda for a Wharton City Council regular meeting next week.

Elected officials here will consider voting on another resolution to approve an affiliation agreement pertaining to EMS Education and the City of Wharton EMS assuming the role of clinical affiliation for field intership between the entities.

EMS Director John Kowalik will be speaking on the matter. He said WCJC students train and ride along our Wharton EMS services.

“They have been a pleasure to work with and we recommend continuing our agreement,” Kowalik said.

The agreement would be binding through Dec. 31, 2026.
