Plaza Theatre events scheduled

Plaza Live at the Plaza Theatre in downtown Wharton, will present a song swap of local artists on Saturday.

Featured singers include Amber Barbee, Clint Barbee, Neal Kunkel, Matt Thigpen and brothers Chris and Mike Sears.

Tickets ($10) may be purchased at the door or in advance at www.whartonplazatheatre. org. The show starts at 8 p.m.

The vintage film series cranks up the 2009 season with the 1959 Billy Wilder comedy "Some Like It Hot." It will be shown at 7 p.m. Jan 16 and Jan 17 at the Plaza. Tickets are $5.
