WJ-S classified ad deadlines changed to serve customers To help serve Wharton Journal-Spectator classified advertising customers better, the deadline for the Saturday editions has been changed to Thursday at 5 p.m., effective immediately. The deadline had been Friday at 10 a.m. Deadline for the Wednesday editions remains Monday at 5 p.m. The Friday morning deadline was not giving your newspaper staff enough time before going to press to take the ads, produce and proof them. The earlier deadline will help your newspaper staff to give more thought to design, and more time for proofing the ads in order to reduce typographical errors. Your Journal-Spectator staff has a goal of sending the paper to the press in Rosenberg by 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday. The El Campo Leader-News has changed its classified advertising deadlines as well to make them identical to those of the Journal-Spectator. The East Bernard Express advertising deadline remains Tuesday at noon. "We appreciate the public helping us out with this deadline change. We will run "house ads" in the classified section on a regular basis to help educate our customers and future customers of the new cutoff times," Chris Barbee, publisher, said. |
