Pet food collection

Iago Junior High School Student Council members sponsored a pet food drive on Sept. 15 to 25 at their campus. A total of 1,261.75 lbs. of pet food was collected. The donations are being sent to the Wharton City Pound and to Smiling Dog Farms also in Wharton. Both facilities are excited to receive such a large amount of needed food. Smiling Dog Farms will give the student council members tshirts and bumper stickers for their efforts on such a large donation.
