Argolus Quentin Powell, 25, 515 Branch, Wharton, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 6:55 p.m. June 18 for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released at 6:45 p.m. June 19 on $500 bond.

Quatisha Lajean Mangum, 24, 1317 Bailey, Wharton, was booked at 6:55 p.m. June 18 for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on $25,500 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Myrna Grays, 55, 1215 John, El Campo, was booked at 7:52 a.m. June 18 for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. She was held on $10,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Carlin Wayne Becker, 22, 6035 FM 2546, El Campo, was booked at 7:16 a.m. June 18 for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license invalid. He was released at 3:30 p.m. June 18 on $2,000 bond.

Burglary, theft charges

Dennis Eugene Jalufka, 63, 3788 Hwy. 144, Glen Rose, was booked at 5:50 p.m. June 18 for two counts of theft by check, failure to appear and bond forfeiture. He was held on $6,500 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Michael Mabry, 36, 604 W. Division, Edna, was booked at 10:55 a.m. June 18 on a warrant for theft by check. He was released at 11:30 a.m. June 18.

Venson D. White, 17, 8715 Noble, Needville, was booked at 4 p.m. June 16 on a warrant for burglary of a building. He was held on $25,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Assault charges

Edward Galvan, 18, 703 Clara, El Campo, was booked at 7:36 a.m. June 18 for assaultfamily violence. He was released at 3 p.m. June 18.

Other charges

Tony Martinez, 42, 707 W. Monseratte, El Campo, was booked at 9:40 a.m. June 19 for contempt of court (non-payment of child support). He was held on $5,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Willie Elroy Bonds, 31, 2263 Millstone Apt. C, Houston, was booked at 1:58 a.m. June 19 for bond forfeiture. He was released at 9:45 a.m. June 19 on $2,500 bond.

Thomas Minor, 34, 7201 Wood Hollow Dr. No. 321, Austin, was booked at 3:35 p.m. June 18 for failure to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility, expired motor vehicle inspection and violating a driver's license restriction. He was held on $2,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Richard Carpenter, 20, 214 W. 1st, Wharton, was booked at 10:02 a.m. June 18 for bond forfeiture. He was held on $2,500 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Justin R. Roberts, 25, 201 Ripple, El Campo, was booked at 4:35 p.m. June 17 for probation violation. He was held as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Floyd D. Evans, 25, 4439 CR 225, Wharton, was booked at 3:55 p.m. June 17 for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. He was held on $3,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.

Arturo Garza, 36, 848 Pecan Valley, Wharton, was booked at 9:41 p.m. June 16 for capias pro fines and non-payment of child support. He was released to Victoria County at 5:30 p.m. June 18.

Tynechia M. Turner, 25, 414 Rowlett, Edna, was booked at 6:48 p.m. June 16 for motion to revoke probation. She was held on $40,000 bond as of 12:30 p.m. June 19.
