      Building stamina Churning their way through the Wharton Public Pool, members of the Wharton Tigersharks swim team build up their stamina with endless laps. The team holds three practice sessions for different groups of swimmers from 7-11 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.

      Wharton senior leadoff hitter J.D. Rivera started several rallies for the Tiger baseball team as they made their way to playoffs this season. That leadership earned Rivera this year's Most Valuable Player on the All- Wharton County Baseball Team.
