Thomas Thompson

Funeral services for Thomas Robert Thompson, 52, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New Faith Church in Wharton. Burial will follow in Camp Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at New Faith Church.

Mr. Thompson died June 11, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1955 in Wharton to Texana Lockridge and Isaac Gaines.

He worked as an auto mechanic.

Survivors include daughter, Tameria Kelly-Pena; siblings, Brenda Walker and Leta Thompson, both of San Antonio, Joe Thompson of Wharton, Peggy Thompson, Verna Leaks, Ivory Gaines and Harris Gaines, all of Houston, Emma Galicia of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Betty Jean Owens and Isaac Gaines Jr., both of California; and three grandchildren.
