A needed opportunity
Sylvan Miori, seated, a self-proclaimed computer fledgling, gets some pointers from The Crisis Center staff members, from left, Rebecca Jimenes and Irma Gaitan. Miori, on behalf of Gulf Coast Medical Foundation, recently presented the Burleson Street non-profit organization with a $25,000 check that will be used to outfit a computer lab and provide counseling services. The lab will enable domestic violence victims to learn skills that will help them obtain jobs and independence.
