Boling students honored for being on honor rolls entire year
      Boling students who remain on the honor roll for the entire school year receive a Gold "B" at the end of the year. Each "B" has a star on it reflecting the number of years the student was on the honor roll.

      FFA and 4-H members of all ages may apply for a Beef or Dairy Merit Heifer for the 2009 Wharton County Youth Fair by submitting an application and handwritten essay of 250 words minimum entitled "Why I Would Like to Have a Beef/Dairy Merit Heifer.

      Neil Simpson of Boling was among the 158 Texas Lutheran University graduates who walked the stage on May 10. A graduate of Boling High School, Simpson is the son of David and Carol Simpson. Simpson, a kinesiology major, graduated with a bachelor of science degree.

      Sgt.FC Clayton Smith of Killeen returned from Iraq on May 22. A welcome home party was held on Saturday hosted by his wife Benita at their home. Many family members and friends were present. Dinner consisted of various seafood and finger foods. Recreation included volleyball until 11 p.m.
