Louis Boatwright Louis Charles Boatwright Jr., age 72, of Glen Flora, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 in Wharton following an extended illness. He was born on Jan. 14, 1936 in East Bernard, the son of the late Louis Charles Boatwright Sr. and Stella Flisowski Boatwright. Mr. Boatwright was a lifelong resident of Wharton County and had been a resident of Glen Flora since 1947. He married Mary Frances Huff on Nov. 22, 1955 in El Campo. He was a farmer and rancher all of his life and was Christian by faith. Mr. Boatwright enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes. Mr. Boatwright was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Robbie Lee Johnson and Dorothy Lee Boatwright; and two brothers, Jim and Lee Boatwright. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Laura Olson officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Boatwright of Glen Flora; daughters and sons-in-law, Doree and David Kieborz of Friendswood, Darlene and Ronnie Gonzales of Glen Flora and Donna and John Brown of El Campo; son, Louis Charles Boatwright Jr. of Glen Flora; sisters, Flossie Blair of Glen Flora and Evelyn Munsch of Sugar Land; brother, Edmond Boatwright of Glen Flora; grandchildren, Charles Lee Baimbridge Jr., Jason Brown, Jeremy Ryan Partin, Brandi Nicol Partin, Melissa Marie Brown, Brandon Cody Boatwright, Shelby Lynn Gonzales, Marrissa Lynn Brown and Justin Clay Brown; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Casey Baimbridge, Jason Brown, Jeremy Partin, Austin Deese, Milton Dronet, Cody Boatwright, Deric Tarver and Kenny Blair. In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to the Glen Flora Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 86, Glen Flora, TX 77443. Funeral services were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home. |
