Kubena, Patterson tell their wedding plans

Brandy and Thomas will recite their vows here on June 21.

Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Boerger of Wharton and Mr. and Mrs. James Kubena of East Bernard, announce the engagement of their daughter Brandy Lynn Kubena of Wharton to Thomas Jonathan Patterson Jr. of Wharton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Patterson, Sr. of Victoria and the late Lois Patterson.

Brandy is the granddaughter of E.J. Kubena and the late Florence "Zeke" Kubena of East Bernard, Linda Boerger of Wharton and the late Irvin Boerger and Louise Root of Houston.

Thomas is the grandson of the late Mary Patterson, formerly of Wharton.

The couple plan to wed at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wharton.

Brandy is a 2001 graduate of Boling High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Houston and is employed with First State Bank of Louise in Wharton.

Thomas is a 1990 graduate of Wharton High School and is employed with Texas Pacific Ltd.
