Mount Vernon visit reveals more about Washington the farmer

B&G Club takes applications
      The Boys and Girls Club of Wharton now accepting applications for summer membership. Registration hours are 11 a.m. to noon and 1-8 p.m. Monday-Friday. Early registration is $35 per person and runs until May 29 when the price goes up to $40 per person.

Distinguished honor roll students must have a 3.7 grade point average with no grades below 70 in an honors class or no grade below 80 in a regular class and must be enrolled in at least one honors class or dual enrollment college course.

      Ann Marie Heimann of East Bernard graduated from the College of Human Sciences at Texas Tech University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in nutritional sciences with a minor in restaurant, hotel and institution management.
