Nickolas Gomez, 29, 6006 W. Creek, East Bernard, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 8:15 a.m. May 15 for driving while intoxicated (second offense). He was released at 11 a.m. May 15 on $2,500 bond.

Arthur Lee Jackson, 48, 421 Wilkes, Wharton, was booked at 4 p.m. May 14 for possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by check. He was held on $1,000 bond as of 3 p.m. May 15.

Assault charges

Tacoma Kirkendoll, 33, 16215 FM 1164, East Bernard, was booked at 4 p.m. May 14 on warrants for assault, failure to appear, improper turn and harassment. He was released at 3:10 p.m. May 15 on $7,000 bond.

Burglary, theft charges

Sheri Lynn Peery, 38, 1003 Delta No. 17, East Bernard, was booked at 8:51 p.m. May 12 for theft by check. She was released at 10 a.m. May 13 on $500 bond.

Patricia Lynn Vasquez, 23, 1402 Ruth, El Campo, was booked at 2:30 p.m. May 12 for theft by check. She was released at 4 p.m. May 12 on $600 bond.

Andrew Manvel, 29, 101 Brookside, Sealy, was booked at 3 p.m. May 15 for selling fuel tax free and failing to remit tax funds. He was held as of 3 p.m. May 15.

Julian Aguilar, 44, 2310 Ozark, Victoria, was booked at 11:30 a.m. May 15 for bond forfeiture. He was held as of 3 p.m. May 15.

Gregorio Castillo, 39, 209 Liberty, El Campo, was booked at 9:30 a.m. May 15 on two motions to increase bond. He was held as of 3 p.m. May 15.

Tommy L. Andrews, 22, 209 First, El Campo, was booked May 15 for probation violation and evading arrest with a vehicle. He was released at 11:35 a.m. May 15 on $45,000 bond.

Pearl C. Mehralizadeh, 34, 9445 FM 102, Glen Flora, was booked May 14 for failure to appear, speeding and failure to maintain financial responsibility. She was released at 11 a.m. May 15 on $1,500 bond.

Bertha Taylor, 26, Rt. 2 Box 53/ CR 243, Wharton, was booked at 11:30 a.m. May 13 for engaging in organized criminal activity. She was held on $20,000 bond as of 3 p.m. May 15.

Natalie Palmer, 25, 501 W. Willow No. 40, Wharton, was booked at 11:30 a.m. May 13 for capias pro fines. She was released at 3:15 p.m. May 13 after paying $514.80 in fines.

Lazano Montes, 40, 507 E. Third, El Campo, was booked at 8 a.m. May 13 for four counts of indecency with a child and tampering with physical evidence. He was held on $350,000 bond as of 3 p.m. May 15.
