      Burglaries, thefts Theft - Three incidents reported at Wal-Mart, 1255 South U.S. 59, Wharton, between 2:40 p.m. and 2:43 p.m. May 13. Cleared by arrest. Burglary of a habitation - Reported in the 200 block of Correll Avenue, Wharton, at 1:43 p.m. May 10. Rifles were reported stolen.

      Alcohol, drug charges Nickolas Gomez, 29, 6006 W. Creek, East Bernard, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 8:15 a.m. May 15 for driving while intoxicated (second offense). He was released at 11 a.m. May 15 on $2,500 bond.
