Eugene Aubrey

Funeral services for Eugene Aubrey, 68, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, at Mother Zion Baptist Church with Rev. C. McWashington officiating. Burial will follow at Bowden Cemetery in Hungerford.

Mr. Aubrey died May 11, 2O08 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. He was born Oct. 28, 1939 in Wharton to Eugene Thompson and Jerlean Aubrey. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a custodian for Wharton County Courthouse.

Survivors include wife, Orelia Aubrey of Houston; sons, Edward and Clyde Baines of Houston; daughters, Mary Robinson of Edna, Pearlie Wilkins, Gwendolyn Noble, Denise Blunt and Tressie Greenwood, all of Houston; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
