Ida Fisher

Funeral services for Ida Mae Fisher, 87, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. J. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Fisher died May 12, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1921 in Wharton to Monroe and Rebecca Ford Phillips.

Survivors include sons, William Fisher, Roy Fisher and Michael Fisher, all of Wharton; daughters, Ida Carter, Maxine Fisher, Gail Fisher and Debra Brown, all of Houston; brothers, Daniel Phillips and Lonnie Phillips, both of Wharton; sisters, Lou Vina Brown of Wharton and Lillian Williams of Houston.
