Tomorrow is Mother's Day! Make sure you show your mom, grandmother, and/or motherin law all the love and respect they deserve for all they have added to your life.

Congratulations to BHS senior golfer Douglas Mach for another successful season. Douglas competed in the State Golf Tournament last week and placed sixth.

We are extremely proud of Doug for all his wonderful accomplishments.

Also, congratulations to BHS junior Hannah Krenek for being selected as the Wharton County Youth Fair Queen.

Hannah has been actively involved in the fair for several years and works very hard. Way to go Hannah!

The BHS Student Council is preparing for the Academic Banquet scheduled for May 19. The BHS FFA Banquet is set for Thursday, May 22. And last, but not least, the BHS Sports Banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 27.

All events begin at 6 p.m. and are held in the Boling High School Gymnasium.

Make sure you get tickets as soon as possible. Contact Boling High School at 657-2816 for further information.

Sports Physicals will be offered to all BISD prospective student athletes on Tuesday, May 20, at the BHS Gymnasium.

The cost for the physicals is $15. Cash is preferred, but if you pay by check, please make it payable to BHS Activity Fund.

This is available to Boling I.S.D. student-athletes in grades 6 through 11. For more information, contact Athletic Director Neal Majewski at 657-9066 or 657-2776.

The Child Development Center (CDC) at First Baptist Church of Wharton is accepting applications for children in nursery through pre-kindergarten for next school year. For further information, please contact CDC Director Lou Ann Toney at 532-1462.

Faith Christian Academy is still accepting applications for next school year.

Classes are filling fast, so make sure to get your applications in soon. You can contact FCA Director Kelly Reina for more details at 531-1000.

Iago Federated Church hosts Wednesday night activities open to all ages.

The youth meet with Brad McQuerry at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy Bible study and lots of fun and fellowship.

Sheryl Tabor leads a Ladies' Bible Study which has a new start time of 6:30 p.m. and Brother Ollie Southall leads the rest of the adults in Bible Study which also starts at 6:30 p.m. in the old Fellowship Hall.
