Kocian, Jimenez tell their wedding plans

Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Kocian of Boling announce the engagement of their daughter Veronica Cecil Kocian to Shawn Keith Jimenez, son of Seferino and Terry Jimenez of Pledger.

Veronica is the granddaughter of the late Manuel and Lottie Kocian, formerly of Wharton, and the late Joe and Alma Reznicek, formerly of Wallis.

Shawn is the grandson of Aurora Jimenez of Victoria and the late Alfredo Jimenez, formerly of Pledger, and the late Leon and Mildred Matula, formerly of Wharton.

The couple will wed at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton.

Veronica is a 2003 graduate of Boling High School and attended Wharton County Junior College. She transferred to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to pursue a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Veronica is currently employed with Vista Bank Texas in Boling.

Shawn is a 2003 graduate of Boling High School and attended Brazosport College where he received an associate's degree in instrumentation technology.
