Elizabeth Godfrey
Hines bikes Funeral services Elizabeth Hughes Godfrey, 95, of Wharton, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Martin Luther King Church of Christ with Eddie Brinkley officiating. Burial will follow in Bowden Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today, Wednesday.

Mrs. Godfrey died April 17, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born Jan. 9, 1913 in Wharton to Albert and Adelaide Mims Hughes.

Survivor is son, David Wayne Godfrey of Wharton.
