Kylie Irby

Mr. and Mrs. Brent Irby of East Bernard announce the birth of their first child, a girl, born at 3:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

The baby was named Kylie Elizabeth Irby and weighed 6 lbs., 6 ozs.

Kylie's maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Benny Tupa of El Campo, and the paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Randy Irby of Richmond.

Great-grandparents are Betty Konvicka of El Campo and Mr. and Mrs. James Irby of Houston.

Kylie's mother is the former Natalie Tupa.

Ta'Layah Taylor

Latisha Taylor of Wharton announces the birth of her child, a girl, born at 5:02 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

The baby was named Ta'Layah Evon Taylor and weighed 6 lbs., 15 ozs.

Ta'Layah's maternal grandparents are Sharon Faye Taylor and Curtis Washington, both of Wharton.

Great-grandparents are Vera Washington and Norsia Chavis, both of Wharton.

Jacob Pentecost Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Pentecost of Cold Spring announce the birth of their first child, a boy, born at 1:06 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at The Women's Hospital of Texas.

The baby was named Jacob Wayne and weighed 7 lbs., 8 ozs. Jacob's maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Allen Orsak of Wharton, and the paternal grandparent is Wayne Pentecost of Colmesneil.

Jacob's mother is the former Miranda Orsak.
