Lady Bulldog softballers pick up two 27-2A wins
The Lady Bulldogs prevailed over the Wizards 17-0 on Tuesday and beat Hitchcock on Thursday 18-1 in a make up game. Boling entered Friday's home game against Brazos with a 6-4 record and plays at rival East Bernard in the district final next Tuesday. The Cougarettes were 4-6 after losing to East Bernard in a make up game on Thursday. The second place Brahmarettes improved to 8-2 and played at third place Van Vleck on Friday. The Lady Leopards beat Brazos last Tuesday to improve to 7-4. In Tuesday's win over Hitchcock, Alyssa Ferell pitched three innings to pick up the win and Casey Ivy pitched the fourth. Whitney Rachunek was four for four with a grand slam and eight RBIs. Sister Stephanie Rachunek was four for four with one RBI. Paige Bucek was two for two, Ashton Kalina was two for three. Beth Llanas was two for two with an RBI. Ivey was two for two. Katy Womack, Kelsey Stolle, Chelcie and Gabby Ramirez, Jaycee Lorenzen also had hits. In Thursday's win, Boling scored six runs in the first, seventh in the third and five more in the fifth. Whitney Rachunek was four for four with five RBIs. Kalina, Womack, Stolle, Llanas and Bucek had two hits each. Ferell went three innings, pitched a no-hitter and struck out four. 27-2A Standings
