Kubicek, Beeson tell their wedding plans

Lacey and John will recite their vows on Aug. 16 in East Bernard.

Gary and Lydia Kubicek of Wharton announce the engagement of their daughter Lacey Jaye Kubicek of San Marcos to John Riley Beeson of Oklahoma City, Okla., son of Gary and Frances Beeson of Richmond.

Lacey is the granddaughter of Rosemary Hinze and the late W.C. Hinze Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Kubicek.

John is the grandson of Milada Mazanec and the late Joe Mazanec, Shirley Beeson and the late Elvin Beeson.

The couple will wed at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard.

Lacey is a 2003 graduate of Wharton High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos and is currently working on her master's degree in speech language pathology there. She is employed as a graduate research assistant.

John is a 2003 graduate of Wharton High School and has served in the U.S. Navy for five years. He plans to attend Texas State University in the fall to pursue a bachelor's degree.
