It's the personalized service that started with founder Arthur Bremser that is the foundation on which his son Brian Bremser continues to operate Bremser Insurance.
"We still do things 'old school,'" Bremser said. "That was the way my dad did things and that's how I run the business."
The agency offers a variety of Germania Insurance packages and concentrates on doing home and car insurance as well as offering other vehicle insurance packages, including boats, and life insurance.
As an independent agency, it can also offer packages from other companies, most frequently Progressive.
"After that, what we offer depends on the best policy offers available from several other companies.
"We don't do crop insurance but we do offer farm and home liability insurance," Bremser added.
"Insurance money is cheap money when you consider the consequences of not having any insurance when something happens."
Bremser said that he and the rest of his staff, Martin Hoke and Paul Fertsch, are all licensed and all believe in dealing with customers on a one-on-one basis.
"Today, a lot of people investigate insurance on the Internet," Bremser said.
"But you don't always get the full picture. Some times you can go for the best deal and end up shooting yourself in the foot when you have to make a claim. So I like to discuss the coverage that a person is looking for so they have the kind of coverage they are looking for from their policy.
"We encourage anyone with an insurance question to come in and talk with us."
To maintain a license, an insurance agent is required to attend 30 hours of continuing education every two years. Bremser, Hoke and Fertsch go beyond that.
"Every time Germania is offering a class, I'm going to be there," Bremser said.
"As a former Eagle Scout, I believe in being prepared along with the values of truth and honesty, which is what we practice as a business."
A third generation Wharton family, Bremser's wife Rhonda is a Pre-K teacher.
He is also a member of the local Knights of Columbus while the agency is a member of the Wharton Chamber of Commerce.
Bremser Insurance also supports a number of other local civic and charitable organizations in the community.
As a local, Bremser believes in providing service beyond the agency's normal operating hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"The cell phone numbers are on our answering machine in the case of an emergency," he said.
"And our numbers are in the phone book. If you need us, we're going to be there for you."
