Area 4-H clubs compete in county fashion show

On March 14 Wharton County 4-H members participated in the County Fashion Show held in Crescent Hall.

The fashion show recognizes 4-H members who have excelled in clothing projects and exhibit skills in several areas.

These include the application of knowledge of fibers and fabrics to wardrobe selection; clothing construction or comparison shopping; fashion interpretation and understanding of style; good grooming and poise; and modeling and presentation of themselves and their garments for the judges.

A 4-H member has the choice of buying or construction. Categories for juniors and intermediates to participate in are activewear, casual, dressy, and specialty.

Senior categories are casual, dressy, formal and specialty.

Members may also participate in the fashion and fabric design division.

All first, second and third places will advance to the District 11 4-H Fashion Show in Edna on April 26.
