Tigers suffer 4th straight loss
Wharton plays Royal in Brookshire today

Sealy took advantage of some costly Wharton errors and timely hitting to take a 4-2 victory from the Tigers at Tiger Field.
The Tigers from Austin County scored two unearned runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to erase as 2-1 deficit.
Sealy took the lead in the top of the second after Bradley Miller led off the inning with a single. A.J. Cryan grounded to third and Miller moved up to second on the play.
Seth Jamison then grounded out to third. Miller scored on the play when the ball was overthrown while Miller was advancing to third.
Wharton tied the game in the bottom of the fourth when Kris Looper hit a lead off home run off Colby Hollis to make the score 1-1.
Wharton took the lead in the bottom of the fifth as Justin Lathon led off the inning with a walk and scored on a double by Looper with two outs to make the score 2-1.
Sealy regained the lead in the top of the sixth. Zach Ussery led off the inning with a walk.
Hollis followed with an RBI double to make the score 2-2. Hollis later scored on a sac fly by Jordan Langley to make it 3-2.
Sealy added to their run total in the top of the seventh when Cryan led off the inning with a single and was moved up on a sac bunt. Cryan scored when Brett Reichardt reached on a error to make the final 4-2.
With the loss, Wharton fell to 1-4 in district 24-3A play. Sealy improved to 2-3. The Tigers from Wharton County play winless Royal in Brookshire at 2 p.m. today.
Stafford also improved to 2-3 in district play after a 20-3 victory over the Falcons. Sweeny improved to 5-0 in district after taking a 8-3 victory over Columbia, which fell to 2-3.
Needville improved to 5-0 in district play after taking a 10-4 victory in 11 innings from Columbus, which fell to 3-2 in district play.
Coming up Tuesday, Wharton hosts Columbia in an 8 p.m. contest. Needville hosts Sealy, Columbus entertains Stafford and Sweeny plays at Stafford in other league games.
