Garden tour set for first two weekends in May

      While lots of folks are using spring time to get their yards and gardens back in shape, there are five residences which will have special guests arriving to see their gardens. It's neither wildlife or butterflies, but tours of folks from Wharton, Sugar Land, Houston and Pasadena.

Boling students enter VASE event, receive top rating
      Sarah Sharkody and Marissa Neal participated in the Texas Art Educators Association's Visual Art Scholastic Event held at Victoria High School on Feb. 23. Both Sarah and Marissa received the highest rating of 4 at the Regional level which enabled them to advance to Area VASE.

Blood drive set at GCMC

      The East Wharton County Unit of the ACS will meet at noon at GCMC in Classroom A on April 1. The GCMC Purple Heart Volunteers are sponsoring a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in classrooms A and B.
