Mary Perez

Funeral service for Mary Linda Carbajal Perez, 60, of Jacinto City, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Rev. Dominic Antwi-Boasiako officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wharton Funeral Home and a rosary begins at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Perez died March 17, 2008 in a Houston hospital following a sudden illness. She was born on Aug. 20, 1947 in Goliad, the daughter of Alberto L. Carbajal and Maria Perez Carbajal.

She was a former resident of Boling and had been a resident of Jacinto City since 1982. Mrs. Perez married Faustino Moreno Perez on Dec. 27, 1982 in Goliad. She was an LVN. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Lucy Carbajal, in 1995.

Survivors include husband, Faustino Perez; daughters, Carolina Perez and Sarita Perez and a son, Ancelmo Perez, all of Jacinto City; mother, Maria Carbajal of Boling; sisters, Dolores Gomez of Wharton, Maggie Zimmerman of Boling and Susie Orborny of Clovis, N. M.; brothers, Jose Carbajal of Tucson, Ariz., and Albert Carbajal of Odessa; numerous nieces and nephews.
