Buying, selling on commissioners' docket The Wharton County Commissioners will be looking at buying and selling when they meet Monday starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Wharton County Courthouse Annex Building, 309 N. Milam. Agenda items include sales of surplus equipment through an on-line auction service. Precinct 4 Commissioner Jimmy Kainer will also be looking for authorization to finance the purchase of a new maintainer over a three year period as well as use two old maintainers for trade-in. Kainer is also looking for authorization to purchase two new shredder tractors and to sell two old tractors at auction. The commissioners also have an executive session to discuss possible real property transactions. Any actions would have to take place in open session following the closed door discussion. |
