Alan Jackson's new CD "Good Times" is not only more country sounding then his previous one, it includes a suprising 17 songs compared to 12 to 14 which most new discs contain.
It hit stores on Tuesday.
The "Like Red On Rose" CD, which came out two years ago, sounded too commercial and east listening.
"Good Time" is country to the bone and is one of Jackson's best of his 21 albums.
"Here In The Real World," which came out in 1990 and "Don't Rock the Jukebox" were both released on vinyl.
The title and first cut "Good Time" is a unprecedented fiveminute song. Alan sings about partying the night way.
It's followed by his current hit "Small Town Southern Man" which is No. 5 on the Billboard Country chart and about setting a good example for his friends and neighbors.
"I Wish I Could Back Up" is a slow, low tear-jerker about a man wanting to go back in time and change a lost relationship.
It's followed up by "Country Boy" who pursues a strange woman and tells her he's the right guy for her
"Right Where I Want You" is another tear jerker in which Alan sings about a woman having her man tied around her finger.
"1976" Alan sings and reminisced about that year and it's followed by "When The Love Factor's High" where Alan sings about a man remembering about date he had the night before.
"Long, Long Way" is a upbeat fiddle song about man not being able to get off a lost love. "Sissy's Song" is a slow ballad about a man's special woman passing away and trying to get over her.
"I Like Bologna" is a catchy song about living today with modern conveniences but still loving the old days.
Jackson teams up with Martina McBride to sing "Never Loved Before" which is a upbeat tune about a man being in love for the first time.
"Nothing To Love" is a two stepper you'll want to dance to and about a cowboy waiting for his girlfriend to come back.
"Listen To Your Senses" is about a man asking his woman if he really loves him.
"This Time" is another slow song about a man re-thinking his situation about losing a woman he loved.
"Laid Back" is another song you'll want to get up and dance to about a man enjoying the beach near the ocean and living the good life.
Jackson shows his feelings on "If You Want To Make Me Happy," which is about a girl making a man happy by buying him drinks and playing his favorite songs.
Finally "If Jesus Walked The World Today" is a catchy tune about our Savior taking a different aspect of life.
Coming up in April is George Strait's new CD "Troubadour."
