Gloria Knox

Funeral services for Gloria Melton Knox, 50, of Stafford, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Saturday, at Little Zion Baptist Church in Kendleton with Rev. Richard Booker officiating. Burial will follow in Burnett Estate Cemetery in Kendleton.

Mrs. Knox died Feb. 26, 2008 at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born Aug. 13, 1957 in Wharton to John and Ruthie Mae Brown Melton Jr.

She was employed for many years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

Survivors include mother, Ruthie Mae Melton of Stafford; daughter, Johnte Knox of Stafford; brothers, Freddie L. Melton of Stafford and Rev. Anthony Brown Sr. of Vanderbilt; and sister, Pamela Simmons of Missouri City.
