Music students featured in recital The music students of Dr. Robert Cody were featured in a recital on Feb. 24 at First Presbyterian Church. Styles of music played by the students included classical, jazz, gospel, religious, folk songs and other modes of expression. After the recital, students who performed were presented with an Award for Performance certificate. Performers and their pieces in the recital were: Aura Lee, traditional, and Yankee Doodle, a folk song, performerd by Sydney Archer. Love Somebody, a folk song, and Thanksgiving Day by Beethoven played by Taylor Donahue. America by Henry Carey and Minuet in G by J.S. Bach as a duet performed by Montie Roddy and Dr. Cody. Go Down, Moses, a spiritual, and Jesus Loves Me played by Jasmin Lockridge. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Happy Birthday by Patty S. Hill done by Gabby Perez. The B-I-B-L-E and Amazing Grace by Joseph Scriven performed by Casey Ward. This Old Man, traditional, and When The Saints Go Marchin' In performed by Anah Voulgaris. The Gift To Be Simple, traditional, and Folk Dance, a folk melody, played by Callie Ramirez. On the Good Ship Lollipop sung by Anah Voulgaris. Hedwig's Theme by John Williams from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and Alouette, a French folk song, performed by Tiffany Hartley. Raiders March by John Williams from Secret Agent by David Carr Glover played by Will Voulgaris. The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini performed by Jamal Gillis. Au Clair de la Lune, a French folk song, and Follow The Leader guitar duet performed by Emily Cheney and Dr. Cody. Sonata In A Major by Mozart, First Movement Theme played by Jade Gillis. Owner of a Lonely Heart by Yes played by Chelcie Ramirez on the drums. Ballade by Friedrich Burgmuller and The Entertainer by Scott Joplin played by Teryn Perkins. Andantino by Carcassi and Guitar Duets Moderato by Robert Schumann played by Angela Alanis and Dr. Cody.
