EB girls golf team wins Boling ISD tournament

NEWGULF - The East Bernard girls golf team brought home the championship trophy from Tuesday's Boling Invitational Tournament held at the Newgulf Golf Club.

The Brahmarettes finished with an 18-hole team total of 413. Palacios was second with a 475, Brazos and Needville tied for third with 479 scores, Ganado was fifth with a 525 and Van Vleck was sixth with a 526.

Host Boling didn't field a complete team.

Amber Haedge fired a 95 to earn first placed medalist honors.

Liz Tover shot a 103 to take second and Robin Litvik recorded a 104 to take third.

Ashley Haedge shot a 111 and Brittany Sanchez shot a 124. Emily Sharp and Kayla New played as individuals and had 128 and 135 scores.

East Bernard competes in the Ganado Invitational on Monday.
