Boling softballers win 4-1

BOLING - Boling's softball team beat Palacios 4-1 Tuesday afternoon at Lady Bulldog Field to improve to 2-4 on the season.

The Lady Bulldogs were scheudled to play three games at the Rice Consolidated Invitational Tournament but it was canceled because of wet grounds.

Alyssa Ferrell went the distance for the Lady Bulldogs in the circle and gave up one run on six hits.

She struck out seven. Ferrell was three for three at the plate with a homer and two RBIs.

Boling jumped out to 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and picked up three more in the sixth to go up 4-0.

Palacios scored its lone run in the seventh.

Beth Llanas was two for three. Caprice Lorezen was one for two and Kelsey Stolle and Whitney Rachunek were two for three.

Boling starts playing for keeps on Tuesday when the Lady Bulldogs visit- Van Vleck in the District 27-A opener.
