Twyla Shelby, 55, 1820 Red River No. 106, Wharton, was booked into Wharton County Jail Monday for possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, no valid driver's license and failure to maintain financial responsibility. She was held on $11,500 bond as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Leo Bray Hudlin, 28, 808 Dunlap, El Campo, was booked Sunday for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and no valid driver's license. He was released at 10:25 a.m. Monday on $12,500 bond.

Juan Morales-Rivera, 19, of Lane City, was booked at 2:15 a.m. Monday for driving while intoxicated and accident causing injury or death. He was held on $12,000 bond as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Amber M. Perks, 19, 702 Washington, El Campo, was booked at 1:30 a.m. Monday for intoxicated assault. She was held as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Brienna Gottschald, 21, 11535 FM 442, Boling, was booked Friday for possession of marijuana. She was released at 9:55 a.m. Sunday on $2,500 bond.

John Mihalor, 25, 2910 Rainwood, Spring, was booked Friday for driving while intoxicated (second offense). He was held without bond as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Burglary, theft charges

Gilberto Aldaco, 43, 1580 CR 309, Louise, was booked Friday on a warrant for theft. He was released at 5 p.m. Friday on $1,000 bond.

Assault charges

Salvador Velasquez, 30, 715 N. Wharton, El Campo, was booked Sunday for assault-family violence, no insurance, no driver's license and failure to appear. He was held on $13,500 bond as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Abelino Medina Jr., 21, 1202 Sam, El Campo, was booked on 8:05 a.m. Saturday for assault-family violence and capias pro fines. He was released to El Campo Police Department at 11:10 a.m. Saturday.

Robert Taylor, 40, 304 Correll, Wharton, was booked at 6:36 p.m. Thursday for assault-family violence. He was released at 9:55 a.m. Friday on $5,000 bond.

Other charges

Wayne Bustamante, 19, 1402 Stevens, Rosenberg, was booked at 7:32 a.m. Saturday for driving while license suspended and possessing prohibited weapon. He was released at 10:15 a.m. Saturday on $5,000 bond.

Derrick Dejuan Calyen, 46, 216 Delmas, Wharton, was booked at 10:52 a.m. Friday on a warrant for criminal mischief. He was released at 2:05 p.m. Friday on $1,000 bond.

Walter Allen, 52, 1604 Wilson, Wharton, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Friday for probation violation. He was held as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Karissa Ramirez, 30, 1002 S. Liberty, El Campo, was booked Thursday for six counts of probation violation out of Hidalgo County. She was held without bond as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Matagorda County hold

Stephen J. Capak, 50, 458 Catamaran Dr., Palacios, was booked at 9:22 a.m. Friday on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and non-payment of child support. He was held for Matagorda County Sheriff's Department as of 3 p.m. Monday.

Jail population as of 3 p.m. Monday was 89 prisoners.
