Mildred Smith

Funeral mass for Mildred Marie Maroul Smith, 75, of Needville, will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with interment following at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Damon. Rev. Paul Felix will officiate the services.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 in the chapel of Davis- Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Mrs. Smith was born on Feb. 24, 1932 in Guy, to the late Joseph R. and Louise Pavlicek Maroul.

She was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and was active in the Ladies Altar Society.

She went to be with the Lord on Feb. 16, 2008 with her family at her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Joseph Maroul and Alois Maroul.

Mildred is lovingly survived by her husband of more than 52 years, Edward W. Smith; children, Patricia Melton and husband, Harold, Linda Oldag and husband, Ben, Edward Smith and wife, Georgia, Gloria Henrichsen and husband, Ricky, Anthony Smith and wife, Sharon, Pamela Smith, Elaine Raesner and husband, Michael, Mildred Hlavinka and husband, Carlton; siblings, Frances Newsom, Dorthea Maroul, Beatrice Maroul, Mary Ann Maroul, Lillie Ann Wigington, Henrietta Martin, Joan Zwahr; grandchildren, Sam Melton, Zac Melton, Holly Melton, Amy Sodolak, Owen Sodolak, Nathan Henrichsen, Melissa Henrichsen, Travis Henrichsen, Ryan Henrichsen, Russell Petee, Kevin Smith; Brooke Raesner, Courtney Raesner; Bryan Hlavinka, Kyle Hlavinka and Marissa Hlavinka.
