St. John hosts soup supper

On March 5, St. John Lutheran Church of Wallis will hold its annual Variety Soup Supper at the American Legion Hall in Wallis with serving to begin at 5 p.m.

Every year the members cook a large variety of soups, stew and chili that will be served with homemade breads and crackers. A large table of desserts will be available also.

A Silent Auction with many interesting items, crafts, canned goods and pastries will be on display throughout the evening.

All of the funds raised from this event will be used to purchase stained glass windows for St. John's sanctuary. The funds will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Ticket prices remain at $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12.
