Burglaries, thefts

Burglary of a building - Reported at Prosperity Bank, 143 W. Burleson St., Wharton, between 4:10 a.m. and 4:13 a.m. Wednesday. A window valued at $1,000 was reported damaged.

Burglary of a vehicle - Reported at Briar Pointe Apartments, 1610 Briar Lane, Wharton, between 8:30 p.m. and 10:11 p.m. Wednesday. A DVD player valued at $550 was reported stolen.

Theft - Reported in the 500 block of South Caney Drive, Wharton, between 8 a.m. Jan. 5 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. A refrigerator valued at $200 was reported stolen.

Theft - Reported at Tyler's Pawn and Jewelry, 2310 N. Richmond Road, Wharton, between 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31 and 2:45 p.m. Monday. A pistol values at $150 was reported stolen.

Theft - Reported at Sivells Elementary, 1605 N. Alabama Road, Wharton, between Dec. 22, 2007 and Monday.

Burglary of a building - Reported at Dollar General, 530 E. Milam St., Wharton, between 8:15 p.m. Sunday and 8:40 a.m. Monday.

Theft - Reported at Sivells Elementary, 1605 N. Alabama Road, Wharton, between 12 p.m. Dec. 27, 2007 and 8 a.m. Sunday. A portable stereo, candles and a telescope valued at $304 were reported stolen.

Theft - Reported at Hartz Chicken, 1261 U.S. 59, Wharton, between 2:45 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. Sunday. A purse and contents were reported stolen.

Class A assault - Reported at Sivells Elementary, 1605 N. Alabama Road, Wharton, at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday.

Class A assault - Reported at Wharton Alternative School, 1010 N. Rusk St., Wharton, at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday.

Assault-family violence - Reported in the 200 block of Moutray Avenue, Wharton, at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

Criminal mischief

Criminal mischief - Reported in the 1000 block of Pecan Street, Wharton, between 5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday. A window valued at $225 was reported damaged.

Criminal mischief - Two cases reported at the Sweetwater Apartments, 100 McElroy Ave., Wharton, between 10:40 p.m. and 10:46 p.m. Sunday. A 2001 BMW and a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado were reported damaged.
