A DVD player valued at $550 was reported stolen. Theft - Reported in the 500 block of South Caney Drive, Wharton, between 8 a.m. Jan. 5 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. A refrigerator valued at $200 was reported stolen. Theft - Reported at Tyler's Pawn and Jewelry, 2310 N. Richmond Road, Wharton, between 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31 and 2:45 p.m. Monday. A pistol values at $150 was reported stolen. Theft - Reported at Sivells Elementary, 1605 N. Alabama Road, Wharton, between Dec. 22, 2007 and Monday. Burglary of a building - Reported at Dollar General, 530 E. Milam St., Wharton, between 8:15 p.m. Sunday and 8:40 a.m. Monday. Theft - Reported at Sivells Elementary, 1605 N. Alabama Road, Wharton, between 12 p.m. Dec. 27, 2007 and 8 a.m. Sunday. A portable stereo, candles and a telescope valued at $304 were reported stolen.
