Cuts For Cancer event set for this Sunday

Don't forget the Cuts For Cancer fundraiser set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Aurora's Beauty Salon on W. Ahldag.

Aurora's Lydia Maldonado is coordinating the local event and is being joined Juanita Garza from Aurora's and by stylists Estella Rojas and Sonia Galvan from Obsessions for the day.

Gloria Jarvela will be doing facials and massages during the day.

Maldonado has been planning and working on this year's event for months.

She has scoured the area for doorprizes and last week had 21 given in support by local businesses.

There will also be refreshments served at the shop and Maldonado is working on having a radio station broadcasting from the site.

Remember that which ever salon is chosen, all the money generated during Sunday's event goes to the American Cancer Society.
